The appeal follows an incident on January 4, 2025, that left an apartment building damaged by gunfire.

According to information released by the Newark Police Department, officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots at approximately 10:13 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 400 block of North 5th Street.

Upon arrival, members of the Shooting Response Team discovered a 9mm shell casing at the building’s entrance and in the hallway.

The gunfire caused damage to the common area hallway and a second-floor apartment.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. emphasized the importance of public cooperation in the investigation and urged anyone with information about Williams' whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.

This investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
