A fast recovery of a vehicle that was carjacked in the city's Ironbound Section has police looking for the suspects responsible for the carjacking.
The incident happened in the 20's block of Mott Street early this morning when cops were called to the area on reports of a carjacking in progress.
Officers arriving to the scene located the victim who reported being carjacked at gunpoint by two black males who approached and demanded her grey 4-door 2011 Kia shortly before police arrived.
Police canvassed several parts of the city where they located the vehicle in the 100 block of Quitman Street in Newark's Central Ward a little before 6 a.m.
The suspects fled the vehicle immediately after colliding with a parked car at that location according to reports.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
