County and federal officials responded to the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Clifton after three armed suspects of an armed robbery entered the hotel.
Sometime before 4:30 p.m. the Passaic County SWAT team responded to the Route 3 hotel for a report of armed men entering the hotel.
The areas surrounding the hotel including a Red Robin restaurant were immediately blocked off.
According to officials, the men were wanted for the armed robbery of a taxi driver. A pursuit ensued that led the men to enter the hotel.
All three suspects were arrested, police confirmed this evening.
