Late Thursday night, authorities in East Orange launched a search for suspects involved in an armed carjacking incident on Central Avenue. The incident was reported around 10 p.m., prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
According to preliminary reports, police rushed to the scene after receiving distressing calls about a carjacking in progress.
Upon arrival, officers were briefed on the situation: armed individuals brandishing a gun had forcibly taken control of the driver's gray Toyota Camry, notable for bearing a Domino's Pizza logo on its roof.
The perpetrators swiftly fled the scene, speeding away in the stolen vehicle.
Their last known location was spotted near the intersection of Halstead Street and Central Avenue in East Orange. Fortunately, the driver escaped physical harm during the ordeal.
As authorities intensify their search efforts, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the alarming incident.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any relevant information to aid in apprehending the suspects.
