Newark authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect of a theft that occurred on Tuesday.
According to officials, at approximately 10:50 a.m., a man entered a business, located in the 400-block of Avon Avenue, and removed a laptop from a desk before fleeing east on Avon Avenue.
Police described the suspect as approximately 6-ft. tall, weighs approximately 200 lbs., has a mustache and was last seen wearing black pants, a blue vest, black skull cap, black mittens and black boots; with white and gray trim on the sole of the boots.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from the streets.
