Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating two Newark men wanted in connection with two separate assault incidents.
According to police, on Saturday, September 16th at approximately 9:20 a.m., police responded to a South Ward residence on an aggravated assault call.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the assaulted woman who told them her life was threatened by a man she knows. The alleged attacker, however fled the scene in a vehicle prior to their arrival.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Faheem Pickett, 38, of Newark as the suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threats.
In a separate incident, another South Ward woman’s called police on September 20th after her life was threatened by a man she knows.
Detectives identified Rasheed Spruill 33, of Newark, as the suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant f or his a rrest on charges of Terroristic Threats and Simple Assault.
While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from the streets.
These investigations are continuing.
