Newark Public Safety officials request the public’s help locating a male suspect and vehicle in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Monday, October 24.
According to Newark officials, just before 7:45 p.m., a victim’s black 2019 Land Rover, parked at New City Meat Market, located at 384 South Orange Avenue, was broken into by a suspect who arrived in a stolen white Mercedes-Benz.
Officials say, the suspect was viewed on surveillance camera entering the vehicle and removing a blue laptop case bag containing a Hewlett-Packard laptop and several documents.
According to detectives, the suspect then re-entered the Mercedes-Benz and fled, headed east on South Orange Avenue.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect, described as a Black male with dreads, wearing a long-sleeve white shirt, and the vehicle, a 2019 Mercedes Benz GLA reported stolen out of Bernards Township.
