Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a female wanted in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Sunday.
According to authorities, shortly after 5:50 p.m., police responded to Family Dollar, located at 62 Broadway, after a woman was observed shoplifting by employees.
Officials say the suspect displayed a stun gun and attempted to assault an employee when she was approached.
After returning some of the stolen items, the suspect fled the store, heading northbound on Broadway where she then entering a white 4-door vehicle that sped away from the scene.
Police describe the suspect as having a dark complexion and wearing a gray sweater with white letters on the left sleeve, gray sweatpants and black and red sneakers.
While detectives are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating her and removing her from the streets.
