Passaic police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian with serious injuries early Friday morning.
Emergency responders were dispatched to Brighton Avenue shortly before 3:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian down.
Upon arrival, units found an individual suffering from a severe head injury, the result of being struck by a vehicle at the location.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital, where they remain in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene and remains at large.
Police are actively investigating the incident and seeking any information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
