Police Seek Armed Suspects in Newark Overnight Robbery Spree, Carjacking

Authorities in Newark are on the search for a group of armed suspects responsible for multiple robberies and violent assaults across the city overnight, including a brazen carjacking.

According to Newark Police, the violent spree prompted a city-wide alert at approximately 11:40 p.m., with officers issuing an urgent "Be On the Lookout" (BOLO) for a black BMW 3 series bearing Pennsylvania license plates KZF-8554. 

Police described the suspects as three to five males who drove through Newark, targeting and attacking individuals while forcibly taking personal belongings.

At least one incident involved a violent carjacking,  stressing the suspects' dangerous nature. 

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, urging residents not to approach the individuals but immediately report any sightings or suspicious activity to law enforcement.

The latest robbery spree marks the second in less than a week with police reporting no arrests.
