Police in Orange are searching for the suspects involved in a robbery that occurred in the city late Wednesday night.
According to police, at approximately 11:10 p.m. officers responded to the area of Freeway Drive and S. Essex Avenue on reports of a robbery.
The victim, Mr. Rajeshbhai Parmar stated to police that he was stopped in his vehicle when a silver Toyota Camry, which was stopped in front of him, reversed into Mr. Parmar's vehicle.
He told police that four men then exited the Toyota and started yelling and punching his window. Mr. Parmar stated he then got out of his vehicle and the men began punching him and he punched them back.
Mr. Parmar told officers that three of the men then held him while a fourth took all of his items out of his pockets. These items included $200 in U.S. currency, a New Jersey driver's license, a TD Bank credit card and a TD Bank debit card.
He also stated that an additional man went into his vehicle opened the center compartment in his car and took S1,700 in U.S. currency all mixed bills.
All of the men then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene according to Parmar.
According to police, there were no injuries reported in the incident and Mr. Parmar refused medical attention.
The investigation is active and ongoing and the suspects remain at large.
