Police Search for Woman Wanted for Newark Stabbing

An early morning stabbing that occurred in Newark has police searching for a woman that they believe is responsible for the attack.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, his police officers seek the public’s help locating **Ms. Victoria Williams, 24, of Newark**, who is wanted for an aggravated assault stabbing that occurred today.

Director Ambrose said at approximately midnight; a man arrived at University Hospital for treatment after suffering a stab wound by a woman following a quarrel.

Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Ms. Williams as a suspect in this stabbing and police issued a warrant for her arrest.

While police are actively searching for Williams, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from city streets.

These are mere accusations lodged against Ms. Williams. She is considered** innocent until proven guilty in a court of law** when she surrenders to police or during her capture.

Doctors listed the male victim in stable condition Director Ambrose said.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
