Police announced that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Rena Edwards, 34, of Newark, on charges of Aggravated Assault for an incident that occurred on Jan. 9th.
According to authorities, at approximately 4:20 p.m., police responded to Schuyler Avenue near Tillinghast Street on a call of an assault. Officials say a man was assaulted by a woman he knows following a quarrel.
Detectives investigating this incident, identified Rena Edwards as a suspect in this incident and have secured a warrant for her arrest.
Police describe Edwards as 5’4” tall with brown eyes, black hair and a light complexion with freckles.
While police are actively searching for Edwards, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from the streets. This investigation is ongoing.
