The Newark Police Department is calling on the community for assistance in identifying three individuals involved in a theft at a downtown restaurant on March 16. Officers were dispatched to Mad for Chicken, located on the 200 block of Market Street, following the incident, which was reported at approximately 12:31 p.m.
Surveillance footage captured at the scene shows a male and a female suspect, accompanied by another man, engaging in the theft of a victim’s bag containing $700.
The trio swiftly left the premises after the act.
Authorities have provided descriptions of two of the suspects involved. The first suspect is a male with a white complexion and a thin build, seen wearing a white hat, a grey shirt with white lettering, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
The second suspect is a female, also with a white complexion and a thin build, dressed in a dark grey jacket and an olive green dress.
