Newark authorities are stepping up efforts to locate suspects involved in two overnight gas station robberies that occurred in different parts of the city.
In the first incident, the suspects, described as two males, pulled up at the Exxon gas station situated in the 400 block of Central Avenue around 9:40 p.m.
Armed with handguns, they proceeded to rob one of the station's employees.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene after seizing an unspecified amount of proceeds.
In the second robbery, the same individuals -reported as two black males- are believed to have struck again, this time at a gas station located at 1425 McCarter Highway.
Details regarding the amount stolen during this incident are yet to be disclosed.
The suspects managed to evade capture in both cases and remain at large.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to these incidents to come forward and assist in their ongoing investigations.
