A set of armed robberies that occurred around the city this morning has police on the search for suspects responsible.
According to reports, at 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of New Street, police were called to the scene on reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers met with a male and female couple who reported that they were approached by three black male suspects who pointed what appeared to be a gun to the female's head and demanded cash and personal possessions.
The pair handed over several items shortly before the men fled the scene.
At around 5:45 a.m. in the 200 block of Broome Street, suspects fitting the same description of the New Street armed robbery suspects, committed a armed robbery where they took personal possessions from the victim at gunpoint according to reports.
Police were called to the area of 12th Avenue and 6th Street at around 7:45 a.m. on reports of an armed robbery in progress where units arrived to find a male victim who reported being physically attacked and robbed by male suspects that took personal possessions.
The victim did not suffer life threatening injuries.
Police are attempting to determine if the robberies are committed by the same suspects.
There were no physical description immediately available of the suspects.
