EMS transported the victim of a violent overnight assault that happened in the township to University Hospital in Newark.
According to reports, the attack happened at around 1:30 a.m. in the 200 blocked Elis Avenue where police were called to the scene for reports of an injured person at that location.
Units arrived to the scene to find the victim suffering injuries after being assaulted by as many as three suspects reports said.
The victim's injuries were no immediately reported as life threatening.
Police are investigating.
