There is an active search for a suspect who fired multiple shots on a street in Paterson overnight.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the 1000 block of Mian Street at around 3:15 a.m. sending police to the scene where a search of the area had officer located nearly a dozen shell casings.
Police say their search ended in no victims injured at that location.
The suspect reported exited a vehicle and began to fire the gun before speeding away from the scene.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
