Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance iidentifying a suspect wanted in connection with the theft of a wallet on Sunday October 11th.
Police say at approximately 7:30 p.m., the suspect purchased items at the mini-mart of Shell Gas Station, 972 South Orange Avenue, and dropped his wallet before leaving the store.
Police say the suspect entered the store, saw the victim’s wallet and left the store with it.
The victim’s wallet contained cash and personal property.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying the suspect as part of their investigation.
Police say the suspect wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans, beige and white colored sneakers and has gray hair.
