Newark Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect, known by the nickname "Qb3hree," wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting incident.Police said the incident, which occurred on April 1, involved a victim who was shot while moving furniture into a U-Haul truck.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. on the 800 block of South 14th Street.
According to police reports, the victim was engaged in loading furniture when gunfire erupted.
After fleeing the scene, the victim realized he had been shot and subsequently received medical treatment at University Hospital.
Witnesses reported seeing a white vehicle speeding north on South 14th Street shortly after the shots were fired.The Newark Police Shooting Response Team has released a photo of the individual they wish to question in relation to this violent act.
Director Fragé of the Newark Police Department has urged anyone with information about the suspect's identity to come forward.
