An early morning stabbing that sent a person to the hospital suffering serious injuries is under investigation by police.
It happened at approximately 3:40 a.m. in the 80's block of Wilkinson Avenue were police began a search for a light complexioned black male suspect who was last observed wearing gray sweatpants and a white shirt when he reportedly ran from the scene of the attack.
According to preliminary reports, police arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering non-life threatening arm injuries after the suspect began to stab him at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors treated the injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
