Police in Newark's North Ward are searching for brazen suspects wanted for a robbery that happened on Monday afternoon.
Officers swiftly responded to the scene near 542 Summer Avenue following reports of a robbery in progress shortly before 3:45 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a victim who had sustained a leg injury during the robbery.
According to reports, the suspects approached the victim and forcefully took personal possessions, including a cell phone.
The victim is expected to recover from their non-life-threatening injuries.
Reports suggest that the suspects fled the scene and were last seen in the vicinity of Orange and Norfolk streets.
The Newark Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident and is actively searching for the individuals involved.
