Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with an aggravated assault on a police officer on Thursday, September 6th.
According to a statement released by police, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the officer was returning to her car when she observed an unknown male inside.
Police say while the officer attempted to arrest the suspect, he assaulted her before fleeing the area.
Detectives investigating this incident have developed sufficient evidence to identify the male as the suspect in this incident.
The investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from Newark streets.
