Police Search for Man who Allegedly Broke into Newark Church

Authorities in Newark are requesting the public’s assistance in locating **Glen Copeland, 55**, of Newark, for a burglary that occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 11, 2011.

Police responded to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, located at 719 Sanford Avenue, on a burglary call.

The building had been burglarized, with the suspect gaining entrance by breaking a window. Electronic equipment and religious implements were stolen.

Based on their investigation, detectives have determined that Glen Copeland is a suspect in this burglary.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

While police are actively searching for Copeland, also known as Glen Roberts, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.
