Newark, NJ – Authorities are searching for a suspect who fired multiple rounds in a North Ward neighborhood Tuesday night.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., Newark police were alerted by a ShotSpotter activation near 9 Grafton Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shell casings at the scene. A canvass of the neighborhood found no reported injuries.
The suspect fled the area and remains at large.
The Newark Shooting Response Team is leading the investigation, and no arrests have been reported at this time.
Police urge anyone with information to come forward as the search for the gunman continues.
