An armed robbery that turned into a violent attack on a man in Orange has police on the search for several suspects responsible for the crime.
According to reports, police were called to the vicinity of Scotland Road and Cary Street just before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday to investigate reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arriving at the scene found a male adult victim suffering non-life threatening injuries after as many as four black male suspects reportedly exited a vehicle and demanded cash from the victim.
Reports said when the victim attempted to comply, the suspects began to pistol whip and beat the suspect in the face with the gun before fleeing the scene in a light colored car.
The suspects reportedly took less than $50 in cash and a cell phone.
EMS treated the victim at the scene for a head and a lip injury while police canvassed the area for the suspects.
There were no arrests made.
