There is an active search for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian Orange leaving him in critical condition.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Tremont and Lincoln avenues just before 11:30 p.m. Friday night after they received reports of a person seriously injured.
Police and EMS arrived at the scene to find the 62-year-old man laying on the ground severely injured reports said.
EMS rushed the man to University Hospital in Newark where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Detectives setup a crime scene in the area where they collected evidence in an attempt to locate the driver responsible for the incident.
