Newark authorities are searching for suspects involved in a robbery that took place at a gas station on McCarter Highway Saturday evening.
According to Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, the robbery occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. on October 19, 2024, at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 1400 McCarter Highway.
A male suspect, wearing a ski mask, approached the gas station attendant’s booth and demanded cash.
The suspect stole money from the attendant and the booth’s register before fleeing on foot, heading northbound on McCarter Highway toward 3rd Avenue.
The incident is currently under investigation, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
