Update: (5 p.m.) The suspect was taken into custody at a home on Glenwood Drive in Point Pleasant after a standoff with police at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say robbed a township bank.
According to police, the bank robbery occurred at the Manasquan Savings Bank located at 24 Princeton Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6’3, dirty blonde hair, bandage under left eye, mid 50’s, wearing a black jacket with hood.
The suspect vehicle was described as a black pick-up with tool box on back, possibly an Ford F-150.
