Police Release Surveillance Photo of Accused Serial Burglar in Newark

Authorities are seeking the public’s help identifying a man wanted for three burglaries that occurred between Saturday, May 13th and Monday, May 15th, 2017.

According to police, officers responded to South 17th Street School, located at 619 South 17th Street, on a report of a burglary.

The investigation revealed that three males entered the school over the course of three days, removing items, including two computers and a nebulizer.

One of the suspects was wearing a gray or black vest and black jeans.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from our streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.

Director Ambrose is urging anyone with information about these suspects to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867).  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
