Weapons recovered in two separate Newark incidents have cops in the city searching for suspects.
Gunfire rang out in the area of 12th Avenue and 15th Avenue at around 9 p.m. sending officers rushing to the scene where several units canvassed the area and located multiple shell casings but no victims according to reports.
Police continued their search to the 400 block of South 13th Street where residents reportedly called 911 after hearing gunfire in the area. Cops found a gun at this location.
Up in the city's West Ward, police recovered a weapon in the 90's block of Smith at around 2 a.m. There were no reports of shots fired.
The investigation continues into both findings by the Newark Police Department.
