A large crowd assembled after a police officer was involved in an altercation with a perpetrator. While police was attempting to subdue the the suspect, the officer's hand was bitten. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault. It was not clear what initially started the fracas that led to the assault. Crime scene investigators have been requested to the scene at this time.
