Police Launch Investigation After Stray Bullet Enters Apartment in Paterson

The Paterson Police Department is asking the public for help looking for suspects involved in a shooting where at least one bullet entered someone's apartment.

According to officials, police determined that a suspect began firing shots at potential victims in which one of the bullets smashed a window and was found on the floor of the apartment. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of East 18th Street around 7:20 p.m. on Friday.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting and remain at-large.

Police said the resident inside the apartment was not hurt by the bullet and no injuries were reported.
