Authorities are investigating a police-involved that killed an alleged armed man.
According to officials, police responded to the Cramer Hill section after a man, described only as a Hispanic male in his 30s, called 911 from his vehicle claiming he was armed and wanted to die.
Upon arrival, police found the man's unoccupied vehicle in the area of Bergen and Harrison Avenue.
Officers exited their vehicle for further investigation when the man approached them pointing a gun.
The officers subsequently fired at the man, killing him.
The name of the man is being withheld at this time but according to officials the man had a criminal record.
Officials at the scene reportedly recovered a loaded gun from the man's hand after the shooting.
The incident is under investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and the Attorney General's Office.
