There is an investigation underway into a police involved shooting that injured a man in Jersey City early this morning.
Police attempted to pull over a vehicle in the area of Virginia Avenue and Ocean Avenue at around 12:45 a.m. that was reported stolen.
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle dragged one of the officers with the vehicle during the stop when the officer fired at least one shot, striking the suspect in the head.
The suspect was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where his injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
At least one police officer was transported to the hospital where his injuries were reported to be minor.
The incident is under investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
