Passaic County officials have announced that at approximately 2:45 p.m. on February 11, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Godwin Avenue and Carroll Street in Paterson on a report of a shooting.
According to police, upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department were unable to locate evidence of a shooting, nor a shooting victim.
Police said that a short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that possible victims were in the area of 18th Avenue and East 21st Street in Paterson.
Upon arrival the Police located a motor vehicle with a bullet hole in the rear right bumper and two victims, who will remain unidentified pursuant to the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, police officials said
According to officials, neither victim was injured. However, based on the initial investigation the suspect shot at the motor vehicle while the victims were trying to flee.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
