Authorities in Newark are investigating two reported carjackings that happened overnight in the city.
Police responded to the 80's block of Hanford Street a little after midnight where they began a search for a white 2012 Toyota Camry that was taken by an armed man a short time before they arrived to the scene. The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "A44-EUP"
The suspect was reportedly wearing a mask when he pointed a weapon at the victim taking the vehicle.
A little after 1 a.m. in the 500 block of 15th Ave., police were called to the scene for a strong armed carjacking where several black male suspects over powered the driver of a grey 2010 Range Rover with a reported NY license plate number "GSY-3330".
The suspects were described as juveniles.
No weapons reported.
