There are no reported connections in two stabbings that happened in Newark and Orange hours apart.
Reports of a person suffering a stab injury in the 400 block of Central Ave. (Orange) sent EMS to the scene shortly before 9:30 p.m. where they found the male victim stabbed at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where his injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
A suspect description was not immediately available.
Newark Police were notified of a stabbing that happened in the 900 block of South Franklin Street at around 5:30 a.m. where arriving units located one person suffering a stab injury at that location.
The victim required medical attention but the extent of their injury is unknown.
Both stabbings are under investigation.
