Police Investigate Stabbing in Toms River Motel

An overnight stabbing that left one person injured at a Toms River Motel has police investigating.

The incident was reported in the 3400 block of NJ-37 (Pier One Motel) where police and EMS arrived at the scene shortly before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a person injured at that location.

EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital reportedly suffering a stab injury inside a room of the motel according to reports.

The extent of their injury is unknown.

Police searched the area for two black male suspects who they said may have been accompanied by a Hispanic female when they fled the scene in a silver or light-colored vehicle with New York license plates.

The incident remains under investigation.
