There were no injuries immediately reported in a shots-fired incident that occurred on a Newark South Ward street overnight.
According to authorities, a ShotSpotter activation alerted Newark Police officials of gunfire in the 800 block of South 11th Street just before 1:40 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after a search of the area, there were no victims found.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation and the suspect is at-large.
