Police are investigating a Sunday evening shooting in Lakewood.
According to authorities, just after 6 p.m. last night, officers responded to the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Cedar Bridge Avenue to investigate a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located several spent shell casings but no victim was located.
Further investigation by Det. Michael Cavallo and Officer Tyler DiStefano revealed that an older, possibly maroon in color, vehicle pulled into the complex parking lot and fired several rounds into a small crowd. Fortunately, no one was injured.
At this time the investigation is still active.
