Detectives for the Elizabeth Police Department are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in a neighborhood in the city on Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. where officers responded to the 300 block of John Street to investigate a report of shots fired.
officers arriving at the scene canvassed the area and found a building struck by bullets, but after a completed search of the building and the area, no victims were located.
At this time the investigation is still active according to police.
