Police officials in Newark are continuing to investigate a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of the city.
Officers were called to the vicinity of South Orange and Fairmont avenues around 7:50 p.m. Police say multiple shots were fired at individuals standing near the intersection.
Officers searched the area and located several shell casings, but after police canvassed the scene, there were no victims reported.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
