Police in Newark responded to shots fired that erupted in the 100 block of Broad Street late last night.
Upon arrival to the scene, authorities located a male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was rushed to the hospital where his injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
An investigation is underway into the motive for the shooting.
