Somerset County Police announced an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the area of Barker Road during the early evening hours of July 17 in Franklin Township, New Jersey, according to reports.
Prosecutor Robertson stated that on July 17, at approximately 5:29 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received reporting that an individual had suffered from a gunshot wound in the area of Barker Road, reports say.
Upon arrival, detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department located a Franklin Township resident with a gunshot wound. Medical professionals transported the individual to a nearby hospital for treatment, reports stated.
According to reports, detectives from Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes and Crime Scene Investigations Units responded to the scene, along with detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department to conduct an investigation.
