Police officials in Newsrk are investigating a pedestrian strike that occurred in the city's North Ward on Friday evening, leaving a man with serious injuries.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, officers responded to a call at approximately 6:47 p.m. in the 300 block of Broadway, where they found an adult male who had been struck by a vehicle.
The victim, who suffered a head injury, was transported to University Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Director Frage said the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
