Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting incident that took place on Sunday evening, though no injuries have been reported.
Around 6 p.m., gunfire erupted near 145 North 1st Street, prompting officers to respond after a ShotSpotter device detected the gunshots.
Upon arrival, police found several shell casings at the scene.
A thorough search of the area uncovered no victims, and no injuries were reported. The suspect reportedly fled and remains at large.
Authorities are working to determine a motive for the shooting, with the investigation ongoing.
