A domestic altercation between a male and a female that occurred overnight in Newark turned violent with the man ending up in a local hospital Tuesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 300 block of South 11th Street after they received reports of a dispute at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and found a male bleeding from the chest after being stabbed by an assailant at approximately 8:20 p.m.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where doctors treated non-fatal injuries.
According to reports, the suspects left the scene immediately after the stabbing.
