An armed robbery of a grocery store in Newark's West Ward has police searching for suspects.
The incident happened shortly before 3:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Sanford Avenue (at Schofield Street) when three armed black males entered the establishment and announced a hold up according to reports.
The men took an unspecified amount of cash before they fled the scene in a black or dark colored Cherokee.
The suspects were all reportedly armed with guns.
One of the men wore an orange coat while the other two suspects were wearing dark hoodies reports said.
There were no physical injuries reported.
