Police are on the scene of a stabbing with a person injured in Maplewood.
The incident happened in the single digit block of Coolidge Road at around 9:30 p.m.
A 23-year-old Newark man was transported to the hospital suffering severe stab wounds according to on the scene reports.

The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown at this time.
Although according to initial reports
the pair knew each other, the motive for the stabbing remains unclear at this time.
There have been no arrests reported.
